This Week in Off-Topic: George Harrison, a Retrospective

Eleven years ago today, George Harrison lost his battle with cancer. Harrison didn't have the name cache of Lennon or McCartney, but he wrote a lot of notable songs for the band and had a really cool solo career afterwards. I'd also say he was the first guitar god. He was also the roundabout inspiration for one of the greatest rock songs ever in "Layla." Sure, it was a love letter to his wife by another man, but it had a happy ending. He also did a LOT of charity work, most famously documented in the Concert for Bangladesh. After the jump are a bunch of YouTube videos of the man's best work. Enjoy and appreciate the man that was and the art produced by George Harrison.
