NXT Takeover: Unstoppable was notable for the flashy entrances, the straight *five fire emoji* Women's Championship match, and the debut of Samoa bah gawd Joe, but it also had a topical guest. While his status on Game of Thrones is up in the air so to speak, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is still one of the coolest people associated with the show. While his character on-screen, Gregor "The Mountain That Rides" Clegane, is so evil that it makes (er made, or is still it makes?) King Joffrey look like a choir boy, his feats outside of the fictional world of Westeros have inspired awe among those who know of him.
He's been making the rounds around America to promote his strongman shtick, although the last time WWE was associated with a World's Strongest Man type, it got the extremely late-blooming but still awesome Mark Henry out of the deal. I'm not sure if Björnsson was just in town because he likes wrestling, he's being scoped out by Vince McMahon and/or Triple H, or if he's just trying to mediate a hockey-related dispute between Renee Young and Big Cass above, but either way, his presence at Full Sail last night added an extra layer of mystique to yet another outstanding NXT Network special.
